Skin laxity in the face and neck can be troublesome for both men and women. The ultimate goal of most cosmetic surgery procedures is to TIGHTEN skin. Previously, facial skin had to be tightened by removing saggy skin with facelift surgery or filling out the skin with injectables.
FaceTite is a cutting-edge treatment designed to contour the face and neck without surgery. This new technology uses radiofrequency heat and energy to specifically melt fat and tighten skin. FaceTite is a scarless, minimally invasive procedure that can usually be done under mild sedation anesthesia, and it offers a rapid recovery. FaceTite is the only FDA-approved device that uses radiofrequency-assisted liposuction (RFAL™) technology to destroy fat and correct skin laxity simultaneously. It can also be used independently of liposuction to tighten skin alone such as around the face, neck, elbows, and knees. Patients can obtain stunning results without the long recovery and scarring seen with invasive facelift surgery.
- No general anesthesia
- Minimally invasive
- Decreased chance of irregularities
- Little to no downtime required
- Safe alternative to facelift surgery
- Natural-looking results
Dr. Taylor can evaluate those who would like to correct facial skin laxity during a personal consultation. To determine if you are a good candidate for FaceTite, you and Dr. Taylor will discuss your goals, medical history, and medical conditions.
Be sure your medical provider is aware if you:
- Have any skin conditions
- Have a skin infection in the treatment area
- Have an autoimmune disease
- Have abnormal reactions to local anesthesia
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
The FaceTite device consists of an internal cannula with an electrode on the tip, which is inserted through tiny incisions, and an external electrode overlying the skin. The internal electrode delivers focused energy to the fat and deeper layers of skin while the external electrode heats the surface of the skin. This causes liquification of the unwanted fat and contraction of loose skin at the treatment site. It may also be combined with liposuction for additional facial sculpting. The entire procedure takes between 30 and 60 minutes, and most patients only require one treatment session to achieve the results they desire.
Recovery and Results
Many patients can return to work one day following their FaceTite treatment. Patients usually experience minimal bruising and swelling, but normal activities can be resumed shortly after the procedure. Pain is usually temporary and mild, and it can be alleviated with over-the-counter pain medication, if necessary. Results from FaceTite treatment are expected to last for up to five years.
