Facial / Neck Liposuction

[ BACK TO PROCEDURES ]

Facial liposuction removes excess fatty tissue in the face and/or neck, and can help tighten skin in treated areas. Facial liposuction can be used on its own or in conjunction with other plastic surgery treatments. Potential facial liposuction patients usually wish to eliminate problems such as double chins or saggy jowls, while some facial liposuction candidates are attempting to alter the overall fullness of their faces and better define their jawlines.

Dr. Taylor performs the facial liposuction using a special tube (cannula) inserted in an inconspicuous location on the face or neck. Facial liposuction procedures, like other liposuction procedures, use suction to remove fat from under the skin. Most facial liposuction procedures remove relatively small amounts of fat compared to other procedures, but facial liposuction can produce noticeable results with very little fat loss. The recovery for this procedure is painless, requiring only a few days off from work. The entire facial liposuction procedure usually takes under an hour, and is usually done under a local anesthetic in Dr. Taylor's office operating room.
