Brow Lift in Pasadena & Los Angeles

Pasadena LA Forehead Lift Surgery dr Taylor
Gravity, aging, and sun damage can make the skin along the brows sag and droop. This can make a person look perpetually tired. Some of these signs of aging can be addressed with a brow lift. Dr. Taylor has performed this procedure on thousands of patients in Los Angeles, rejuvenating their faces and recapturing a more youthful appearance.

What is a brow lift?

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is a surgical procedure that targets the upper portion of the face. Its aim is to eliminate wrinkles and creases in the forehead region and the area near the brow tissue. Individuals who have sagging over their upper eyelids that causes the eyelashes and eyebrows to nearly meet can benefit from this cosmetic treatment.

Who are good candidates for a brow lift?

Good candidates are those who are in good overall physical health. It helps if the patient does not smoke, as smoking can hinder the healing process. A good candidate also needs to have realistic goals and expectations about what the procedure can accomplish.

How is a brow lift done?

A brow lift involves the removal of tissues in the upper portion of the face that contribute to the person’s aging appearance. Dr. Taylor prefers to use the endoscopic brow lift method. This technique is done by creating multiple small incisions behind the patient’s hairline. After the incisions are made, an endoscope (a tube with a camera attached to its tip) is inserted. This device provides visualization for the surgeon and helps him manipulate the area properly. During the procedure, Dr. Taylor may use small anchors to keep tissues in their appropriate positions.

The endoscopic lift is less invasive and creates less scarring. Dr. Taylor does not usually use the ear-to-ear incision technique because it poses greater risks.
It usually takes one to two hours to complete a brow lift surgery. The patient is put under twilight sedation or general anesthesia in an outpatient unit.

What happens during my recovery from brow lift surgery?

After the procedure, you can expect the treated area to be wrapped loosely so as not to aggravate bruising and swelling. Dr. Taylor will instruct you on how to take care of your surgical wounds and drainage, and what medications to take to promote healing.
